WILD weather has brought many Upper Hunter campdrafts unstuck this year.
Bunnan’s event is the latest to be postponed, while fingers are crossed for Aberdeen’s edition this weekend.
It also proved to be second time lucky for Merriwa earlier this month as its two-day program finally went ahead.
Hundreds of riders converged on Merriwa Showground for the annual event, with $800 being raised in a charity auction for local mental health foundation ‘Where There’s A Will’.
President Roger Moore said he was pleased with how the campdraft panned out.
“We were very lucky to complete our two-day program, the wet weather has caused the cancellation of many drafts in the Hunter Zone this season,” he said.
“The weekend was a great success thanks to our cattle donors, hardworking committee, and the competitors.”
