A man has been charged following investigations after a motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash near Scone in August.
Just before 5.30am on Tuesday, August 16, emergency services were called to the New England Highway near the intersection of Gundy Road, after a motorcycle and Holden Storm utility collided head-on.
Ambulance Paramedics attended; however, the motorcycle rider, a 44-year-old Queensland man, died at the scene.
A third vehicle – a white Ford Laser hatchback – was also involved in the crash.
The drivers of the Laser and the Storm, a 24-year-old Scone man, were taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit began inquiries into the crash.
On Sunday, November 20 the driver of the Holden Storm attended Scone Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving cause death and negligent driving cause death.
He had his licence suspended and is due to appear at Scone Local Court January 19.
