Boy suspected of being bitten by spider at Stewarts Brook
THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter has transported a 10-year-old boy from a remote property at Stewarts Brook to John Hunter Hospital suffering a suspected spider bite.

The child was playing in the bush on Tuesday when he brushed the spider off his arm, possibly biting him in the process.
At this time, he has not shown any signs or symptoms of being bitten but will be monitored by hospital staff.
It is unknown what type of spider it was but the helicopter medical crew don't believe it was a funnel web.
