The Scone McDonalds Picnic by the Lake and Fireworks Grand Finale create an ambient close for the 37th annual Scone Horse Festival.
Support your local charities and community groups on Sunday, May 14 with a jam-packed program that will delight the whole family.
Fireworks Grand Finale event organiser Mandy Kennedy invites you to be part of this carnival fundraiser that promises free kid-friendly activities, delicious foods and a fireworks spectacular not to be missed.
“This year, stallholders will be fundraising for their local community group or charity. All of your picnic favourites will be available – barbecue, cakes, slushies and fairy floss – so come along and enjoy these tasty treats for a good cause,” Mrs Kennedy said.
“The afternoon Picnic by the Lake, sponsored by Scone McDonalds, is a fun-filled family event.
“For the kids, there will be free merry-go-round, laser tag and jumping castle, along with pony rides for a small fee. The local fire brigade also puts on a children’s fire drill course.
“As the evening begins, our fire dancers/eaters will come out to entertain, there will be a new state-of-the-art LED display, before the Grand Finale fireworks which is truly a magnificent display.”
The festivities are made possible only with the support of Scone McDonalds and the custodians of Lake Glenbawn.
“A special mention also to Scone Fire Station and Scone SES Unit who provide in-kind sponsorship to ensure everyone remains safe,” Mrs Kennedy said. “I would also like to thank all local businesses who are supporting this year’s Scone McDonald’s Picnic by the Lake and Grand Finale. For anyone who may be interested, stalls can be hired from just $20.”
The 2017 Scone Horse Festival Grand Finale will commence at 2pm at Lake Glenbawn. Entry is $5 per car. Patrons are welcome to bring picnic, rug and chairs.
