Nominations for Young Achiever, VIP and Horse of the Year are open until Friday March 29 with winners to be announced at a prestigious dinner on Thursday May 2 and they will then lead the Festival Parade on Sunday 5 May.
"Scone has a rich and vibrant equine history that is only possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of some very special people," Scone Horse Festival President David Gatwood said.
"There are many people humbly going about their work and helping put Scone on the map as the Horse Capital of Australia.
"It's important that we acknowledge these contributions and we're asking the community to help us shine a spotlight on their efforts by nominating them for an award.
"We also want to celebrate the next generation coming through by recognising a Young Achiever and to applaud some of the outstanding horses in our district with the Horse of the Year award.
"So if you know someone or a horse worthy of recognition, please take the time to put their names forward."
Entry forms for the awards and also for the colouring competition, shop window displays and nominations for float entries for the Festival Parade are all available at www.sconehorsefestival.com.au.
