The NSW Government offers grants to communities across NSW to support the building, renovation and fit-out of local community infrastructure.

Each year $12.5 million is available for projects across arts and culture, sport and recreation infrastructure and projects that assist communities with essential infrastructure and disaster readiness.

To be eligible for funding, applications must meet eligibility conditions including, the project location, the applicant and project benefit, purpose and development status.

There is also a requirement for local government applicants to match funding.

Infrastructure Grants can be used toward the costs of construction, alteration, renovation, completion and fit-out of buildings and community infrastructure in the following categories:

Arts and Culture: $50,000 to $200,000 available per project

Community Infrastructure: $10,000 to $200,000 available per project

Disaster Readiness: $10,000 to $200,000 available per project

Sport and Recreation: $50,000 to $300,000 available per project

Since 2015, the NSW Government has funded more than 441 community projects worth $73 million under the Infrastructure Grants program.

Residents within the Upper Hunter electorate will be able to surrender unwanted or unregistered firearms parts, and ammunition for destruction, at no cost and without penalty for illegal possession, as part of a monumental and first-ever permanent National Firearms Amnesty.

The amnesty coincides with the launch of Gun Safe, a new online portal for managing firearms transactions in NSW.

The first of its kind, Gun Safe replaces manual licence applications with real time information and verification. The portal will be linked to the acquisition of firearms in NSW and disposal of firearms locally and interstate, including firearms which are provided as part of the amnesty.

Participating firearms dealers can now accept and record unregistered firearms through the NSW Police Force's new Gun Safe platform.

Dealers using the digital platform can register firearms, prohibited weapons, gun parts and ammunition under the amnesty.

Tennis in our Upper Hunter electorate has received a boost following the awarding of a grant in Round 2 of the NSW ATP Cup Tennis Legacy Fund.

The NSW Government, in partnership with Tennis NSW, is investing $2.4 million over three years to ensure community tennis benefits from NSW hosting the ATP Cup at Ken Rosewall Arena.

I congratulate the Scone Hardcourt Tennis who have received $6,950 for Aboriginal tennis.

More than $360,000 had been awarded to clubs, associations and councils across NSW for projects that improve facilities and encourage participation.
