It will be the first of what is hoped to be many match ups between the Scone Bulls Cricket Club and the Bunnan Club playing for a memorial trophy.
Cricket won’t be the only option on the menu however, as there will also be an exciting raffle, market stalls, children’s entertainment and a barbecue for the whole family to enjoy.
The day is being hosted by the Bulls Cricket Club at the Bill Rose Sports Complex and all funds raised will be donated to beyondblue to continue funding awareness and support programs for people suffering from mental health and well-being issues.
A big focus of the day is men’s mental health, as organiser and Scone Bulls Cricket Club president Mac Dawson said the day will be as much about raising awareness as it will be about collecting funds.
An abundance of raffle prizes have been donated by local businesses, including a Kurt Barnes signed golf Titleist staff bag, a signed Steve Waugh book, a signed cricket bat, golf for four people at The Vintage, Lorna Jane voucher, meal vouchers, mini facials and more.
Tickets are being sold now at Dawson and Dawson Realty.
Dawson encouraged everyone to go along to the day or support the cause, as they hope to raise at least $3000 for beyondblue.
The cricket game and event will start at 1pm on Saturday, November 14 at the Bill Rose Sports Complex.
