THE Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre is organising a food drive to stock its pantry, which assists many families in the area.
“No person deserves to go to bed hungry and, as a community, if everyone who can purchases one additional food item when shopping, the result will be available food for those experiencing hard times,” manager Lee Watts said.
“Hunger is not something you can see.
“However, there are families and children that go without a meal every day.
“I encourage you to assist and help local people that are down on their luck at this time in their lives.”
Residents can drop a donation of non-perishable items into the box located in the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre’s foyer at 130 Liverpool Street.
