LICENSEE Barrie Beck hopes the opening of a Thai restaurant will breathe new life into The Willow Tree Hotel.
Timmy Thai is set to open on August 25, offering diners in Scone a welcome alternative.
“The kitchen has been closed for some time so we’re excited to have this restaurant to revitalise The Willow Tree,” Mr Beck said.
“It’s obviously an asset for the town for it to come here because there’s nothing like this here; people will no longer have to go to Aberdeen for their Thai food now.
“There’s been plenty of talk on Facebook, it’s gone ballistic.
“This particular hotel is fairly frequently attended by employees within the horse industry, and they are really happy to have this option here.” The restaurant will open Monday to Saturday for lunch and dinner.
