CELEBRATE the start of spring with an afternoon at the Scone Country Markets this month at the Scone Visitor Information and Horse Centre (VIC).

There will be a free jumping castle, bubble machine, sausage sizzle, and all the great stalls from noon on Saturday, September 10.
Scone Gardening Club will be there with advice on planting your bulbs.
The Rural Fire Service (RFS) will also be at the markets with the Junior Firefighting Obstacle Course and fire trucks to inspect.
It is the RFS Get Ready Weekend, so they’ll be sharing tips about being prepared for fire season, reminding us all that little things done now can make a big difference during a bush fire.
Simply trimming overhanging trees and shrubs, keeping your grass mowed, removing flammable material, clearing up fallen debris and leaves and preparing hoses to reach around the building, can help prevent burning embers from destroying your home.
See you at the Scone Country Markets between noon and 4pm on Saturday, September 10, at the Scone VIC on the corner of Susan and Kelly streets near Elizabeth Park.
Drop by after voting in the Local Government Elections.
