A MAJOR fundraiser has raised more than $5500 for seriously ill children and their families.
Scone McDonald’s hosted McHappy Day on the weekend, with an action-packed program including special visits from 2GB Radio’s Alan Jones, the Hamburglar, and the local fire brigade.
Co-owner Daniel Zammit said he was thrilled with how the event went.
“It was a fantastic day,” he said.
“I would just like to thank the customers who visited and I hope that they enjoyed our special guests.”
All funds from McHappy Day were donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
After opening for the first time in 1981, there are now 15 Ronald McDonald Houses throughout Australia.
These houses have collectively provided over 68,000 families with more than 1.2 million bed nights.
RMHC’s sole purpose is to help those families to lead happier and healthier lives.
