FOLLOWING an exciting and successful winter season, Scone and District Netball Association congratulated its grand final winners on Saturday.

From the youngest to the most experienced, the players worked hard in an attempt to finish the season as champions.
The grand final results are as follows:
In the 9 to11 years competition Daffodils, 38, defeated Daisies, 17, with Alesha Harrington named player of the grand final; 12-13 years, Sapphires, 30, defeated Rubies, 17, with Olivia Taylor as the player of the grand final.
C-grade: Teenage years, 40, defeated Sapphires Senior, 36, player of the grand final - Tyla Brown.
B-grade: Gundy bobcats, 43, defeated Scone Sporties, 28, player of the grand final - Sarah Clydesdale.
Finishing off the day, Scone RSL and Friends battled it out in the A-grade grand final.
Scone RSL, 54, defeated Friends, 41.
At the awards presentation, the announcement of Bridgitte Solomon as named player of the A-grade grand final, was met with an eruption of applause.
There were also major awards presented to Kirsten Smith - senior umpire of the year; Gabby Kennedy -junior umpire of the year; Tuscany Gilbert - James Hall Award; Jenny Purcell - club person of the year; and Vicki South – President’s Award.
