Festival-goers enjoyed delicious food, a range of award-winning short films and the chance to mingle with special guests including Passengers producer/writer David Curzon and graphic designer Fahimah Badrulhisham.
Video messages from producers and directors that couldn't make it were also sent through to be screened to guests.
The night was a celebration of Australian film talent, with local guests and those from Tamworth, Newcastle and Sydney treated to eight short film screenings.
Scone Films’ secretary Eric Lengling said the event continues to be a success with special guests last year including actor Peter McAllum, director and writer Andrew Lee, and producer Kiki Dillon.
“They were all from Sydney and all first time visitors to Scone Films, it was great, they chatted to the audience and posed for photographs,” he said.
“This year has been no different, our guests are always generous with their time here.”
Filmgoers at the Sunday morning encore screening enjoyed a delicious morning tea before the films.
A handful of tickets for the Sunday screening were also given to farming families in need, with Scone Films deciding to converse with Hunter Local Land Services to keep up positivity in the town during drought.
Scone Films’ next screening is The Spy Who Dumped Me at the Senior Citizen’s Centre, Scone on Friday, October 19, from 7.30pm.
