Students, teachers and staff halted to mark the 100th anniversary of the armistice ending WWI – which fell on Sunday November 11 – with a special service and whole school liturgy.
The school joined together for prayer and the laying of wreaths followed by the sombre sounds of The Last Post.
Students also hand-made paper poppies which adorn the school garden in striking shades of red, black and gold.
School leaders represented St Mary's at the Scone Remembrance Day ceremony on Sunday where more than 100 community members attended.
They took home a single poppy in a pot plant which was placed in their garden during the service.
Upper Hunter Shire Council contributed over 3000 poppies for Remembrance Day services in 2018.
The poppies, many of which still rest under cenotaphs and memorials in pots, are free to good homes.
