The local pair, who now resides at Rutherford, welcomed the birth of their first child, Elkie Roma Rose Hamilton, on December 19.
The beautiful girl, born at Maitland Hospital, tipped the scales at 3.2kg.
Proud grandparents include Michele Hamilton, Ian Hamilton, Chrissy Carter and Brett Walters.
Elkie is also a great grandchild for Roma and Peter Bernardin, Richard Hamilton (dec), Maureen Hamilton (dec), Ivan and Dianne Carter, Lindsay Walters (dec) and Ngaire Eade.
