St Mary’s Primary School Scone commenced the school year with a special opening mass on Friday morning, introducing their 2019 school captains, school vice-captains and house captains.
Henry Buffier and Milly McRae accepted their badges for school captain, while Panhasak Thong and Gabby Widdis take on the responsibility of school vice-captains.
The students were excited to take on the roles with all the responsibilities they entail including representing the school at events, running assemblies and setting an example for other students.
As part of additional responsibilities given to the children, the role of house captain is assigned.
Badges for house captain were presented to Toby Brown, Amira Lamb, Walter Yuille, Roy Simpson, Gemma Ridges, Charles Tydd, Daniel Smith and Ella Bearen.
The students are voted for by their peers.
