Representing St Joseph's High School Aberdeen at the School Sport Australia Touch Football Championships in Canberra from October 28 to November 1, 15-year-old Tyla Brown was one of the standout talents in the NSW under-15s side.
Tyla played two games on the Monday and three games on the Tuesday before a day off on Wednesday in preparation for the quarter finals on Thursday where NSW defeated Victoria 19-0.
That performance saw the girls through to the semi-final on Friday where they defeated ACT 11-1 only to go down to Queensland 7-1 in the final.
"Queensland are just a really good side, they're so strong and work so well as a team," Brown said.
"They're also really fast and it was super hot, windy with temperatures of 35 degrees.
"It was a really fun week. I'll play rep again now, hopefully I get into the (Hunter Western) Hornets team again next year and progress again because it was an amazing experience."
