The vehicle was recognised to be known to police.
The driver, a 58-year-old from Scone, was spoken to by officers.
He was informed that police intended to search his vehicle for drugs and drug paraphernalia.

At about 6.25am last Thursday, the 66-year-old was driving an unladen rigid truck travelling southbound on the New England Highway.
He lost control of his vehicle, causing it to cross to the incorrect side of the road.
It collided heavily with a drainage culvert, rolling an unknown number of times and then through a heavy wood horse stud fence.
The man managed to get out of vehicle himself.
He was taken to Murrurundi Hospital with small bruising to his head only.
There was heavy rain at the time of the accident.

The man was submitted to a road side breath test which returned a positive result greater than the legal limit.
He was arrested and taken to Merriwa Police Station for the purpose of a breath analysis, where he returned a positive result of 0.089 grams of alcohol in 210 litres of breath.
