After a successful Group 21 Rugby League round, which amassed more than $100,000, the local not-for-profit organisation will be featured at Australia’s biggest racing day at Randwick on Saturday.
Record-breaking country jockey Cessnock-based Robert Thompson will don special silks in the Where There’s A Will colours for his ride aboard After All That in race four on the program.
Scone Race Club CEO Heath Courtney said the silks would be signed by the top hoops who are competing in the $10 million feature event The Everest.
“After All That, trained by Scone’s Rod Northam, will feature in the $200,000 TAB Highway,” he said.
“After every race, the number one jockey will sign the silk, which will then be auctioned off at a charity race meeting at the club on October 27.
“Proceeds from the charity day will go back to Where There’s A Will.
“It is set to be a magnificent day of racing.”
