Players from Muswellbrook, Singleton, Aberdeen, Merriwa and Murrurundi were put through their paces under the watchful eye of coach Phoebe Desmond at Olympic Park.
The profile of the sport has risen in recent times, due to the success of the Australian Jillaroos.
And, the local girls are vying for a spot in the Greater Northern Tigers squad.
Group 21, Central Coast/Newcastle, Group 4, Hastings and Group 19 will take part in the selection trial, scheduled for Saturday, February 10, at Muswellbrook.
