This year will be the festival's 40th anniversary and to kick things off will be a night of live music and entertainment at White Park on Thursday, May 6 from 6pm.
Aussie music icon Shannon Noll will be the headline act for the opening night of the Scone Horse Festival.
Joining him on stage will be international music legends, Dragon, who skyrocketed up the charts during the 70s and 80s.
The duo will perform in a two hour special concert packed with all your favourite hits and classics.
The event, which was originally planned for 2020, was cancelled to help stop the spread of Covid, and this year, with relaxed restrictions on gatherings, the community can finally get out an enjoy events again.
Scone Horse Festival president David Gatwood said when the line up was announced last year, festival ticket sales immediately spiked.
"Then COVID-19 hit and we issued full refunds," he said.
"We would do the same again this year if circumstances change.
"We're guided by strict conditions but it's all a step in the right direction and at least we can go ahead this time around."
"Given the fact that we have this beautiful and unique venue, we're able to quite easily implement COVID-safe protocols that are in line with federal and state government directives."
The concert will be held at White Park Arena, 100 Guernsey Street, Scone, on Thursday, May 6 from 6pm to 8pm.
Dragon will perform first at 6pm sharp, followed by Shannon Noll from 7pm to 8pm.
